OUR FESTIVE MESSAGE TO YOU!

It’s that time of year again. Things start to wind down ready for all the Christmas festivities… and then the New Year celebrations that swiftly follow. This year, we’re going to be taking a few days rest (don’t worry, the site will still be live for any festive orders!), but we just wanted to take a moment to thank you for all the support, joy and love you’ve given us in 2011. First of all, here are some words from the team…

   Jon: Thank you ALL for the support over the last year – I really can’t believe how far Insert Coin has come along. All the hard work is definitely worth it and I can’t wait to get working on more designs in 2012. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

   Dan: Thank you for being a part of Team Insert Coin – you ROCK! <3

   Mike: Yes, the Assassin’s Creed hoodie is now available worldwide… uh, wait, you weren’t asking that? Sorry – in that case, have a truly awesome Christmas and an even more spectacular New Year!

   Matt: It’s been great becoming a full member of the Insert Coin team, I’ve finally reached the postage skill level cap. Merry Christmas to all you hoodie wearing assassins and t-shirt lovers!

   Craig: Being at Insert Coin the past few months have been great. I must give my apologies to the team for all my bad jokes and all the future ones I will make. One day they will be coin-herent.  Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

We’re lucky. We love what we do. We love that you love what we do even more. When we started the company 18 months ago, we never envisaged that we would be where we are today. That is down to you guys. Our wonderful tee-vangelists. Our community. You spread the word, help us hone our style and give us feedback, support and advice – and for that we’re eternally grateful. You just have to look at our Twitter channel to put it in context. We started the year with under 1,000 followers. We end it with nearly 6,000.

This year has been incredible for us. We have launched 21 new t-shirt designs and 5 new hoodies. We’ve secured licences with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Ubisoft, Sega, Just Add Water and Codemasters.

Following on from our success with Gamespot UK and GameCity last year, we have also produced tees for Special Effect, Gamer’s Voice, IGN UK’s 100th Podcast and the Eurogamer Expo. And we’ve even made ultra-rare hoodies for our ‘Pillar of Awesome’, Graeme Boyd. If you have any of those designs in your wardrobe, you’re a very lucky gamer indeed!

And then there have been the live events. We’ve been fortunate enough to open our pop-up store at the mighty Eurogamer Expo, MCM Expo, The Gadget Show Live and Kapow. These have been incredible because we’ve had the chance to meet with even more of you guys and chat about games, tees and biscuits. We also get hugs, which are always lovely! We were particularly overwhelmed by the response at Eurogamer Expo in September. The experience was phenomenal and we still can’t quite believe that we were at the centre of those huge crowds – especially when there were free OnLive consoles to get and countless games to play!

We’ve also been everywhere you wanna be – in print, online on your consoles and on TV. We’ve been featured regularly in gaming magazines around the world, and we’ve had coverage on Eurogamer, IGN, Gamespot, Kotaku, Destructoid and countless other wonderful sites across the web. Most of all, we’re proud of appearing on Ginx TV’s ‘The Blurb’ and Inside Xbox’s Special Reports – from both Eurogamer Expo and COD XP in LA.

And all this is just this year. Next year we have even more planned. More events, more licences and – most importantly – more designs for you guys to rock while you’re gaming. Or while you’re thinking about gaming. Or while you’re thinking about thinking about gaming.

As for what those designs will be… well, we’ll have to leave you with something else we’re known for – a big tease and a cast-iron promise of something amazing in the weeks and months to come.
